We'll have our collaborative beer "Junkyard Ale" made by Young Henry's to serve as well as highball on the citrus off cut soda them call kids at PS40 have knocked up for us as well.

Mode Atlanta are an indie-pop three-piece from Brisbane, comprising of Ryan Morgan-Kleinman (drums), Keegan Huxley-Booth (bass) and Mitchell Laney (guitar, lead vocals). They formed in the middle of 2016, after Mitchell spent the year prior putting the finishing touches on a collection of material that synthesised his most treasured musical influences (Lennon/McCartney, The Church, You Am I, Crowded House) and ruminated lyrically on his satisfying but mildly restless quiet suburban life. They hit the studio proper in July 2016 to record their first two songs, “They Love You” and “Garden Varieties”, at Empire Studios in Moorooka with engineer Konstantin Kersting, and followed up the release of said songs with their first live shows.
Following Keegan travelling overseas for 6 months, they hit the studio again to record their next single "I Don't Miss Then" which was released in May this year. After having played two shows at this year's Brisbane Festival and making an appearance at the Triple M Rockstar Lounge at this year's Riverfire, they are set to release their fourth single "Andy's Wanderlust". They will be celebrating its release here at Black Bear Lodge with the help of psyche-rock five-piece Disco Indians and blues/ soul singer John Keenan.
The first thirty people to pre-order tickets to the show will be receiving a complimentary Mode Atlanta t-shirt. Tickets will be $10.

To celebrate the much anticipated release of their debut album, Mascuzzi Jacuzzi (out Dec 1) Albion Place are taking their incredible live show to Australian shores for the very first time in what promises to be one of the most memorable tours of the summer. Beginning in Melbourne, the Dunedin based indie-rockers will take the party to Adelaide, Sydney, Wollongong, Brisbane, Byron Bay, Sunshine Coast and the Gold Coast with a selection of their new material, and all of the old favourites.
Mascuzzi Jacuzzi is a real coming-of-age album both lyrically and musically that offers long time listeners their first substantial taste of a truly unique Albion Place sound. It is sensual and groovy, combining smooth soulful melodies with funky rhythm and psychedelic synth undertones. When asked about the new album the band said “It’s the first time we’ve come out with something that’s exactly what we intended it to be, It feels fresh and it’s exciting knowing that this project is the best description of where we’re at as humans.” Working with the likes of Oli Wilson (The Chills, Knives at Noon), Steven John Marr (Kane Strang, Doprah) and Tom Bell (The Shifting Sands) there is plenty of reason to to be excited about this coming together of talent and experience.
2017 has been a big year for Albion Place. Selling out rooms across New Zealand both in support of their single Easier, and in conjunction with Corona on NZ’s first Corona Sunsets tour. The band have also secured a main stage slot at famous New Years festival Rhythm & Alps alongside Australian favourites Tash Sultana and Ocean Alley. This will kickstart what promises to be an exciting 2018 for the young band.... See MoreSee Less

Following the release of their recent single "Reassurance", Melbourne electro-quartet The Harpoons have announced they're hitting the road in early 2018 on a celebratory East-coast tour, presented by Purple Sneakers.
Tix on sale now:
Kicking off at Brisbane's beloved Black Bear Lodge on Thursday February 22, The Harpoons will then head south, bringing their exhilarating live set to Sydney's iconic Lansdowne Hotel on Friday February 23, before wrapping up with a hometown party at Melbourne's Howler on Saturday March 3. If their recent mind-blowing Melbourne Music Week set is anything to go by, you won't want to miss these shows.
Released on Caroline Australia and premiering via Complex UK & BBC Radio's Future First Playlist, "Reassurance" is the band's homage to UK garage following a 3 month stint living, writing and recording in London; exploring its tiny basement clubs, janky jazz bars and fried chicken culture. Since its release, the track has earned Beat Mag's 'Single of the Week', has received "full marks" from Purple Sneakers for its "jittery and syncopated club sound" as well as radio play across Australia and beyond.
"Reassurance" follows on from the screaming diva moment of "Do You Want My Love" which premiered via Rolling Stone earlier this year and was their debut release on label Caroline Australia. One of this year's most welcome releases, the track shot to international acclaim, premiering via Los Angeles radio giants KCRW and UK tastemakers Clash Magazine. The song also garnered local support from i-D, Triple J, FBi Radio and Triple R peaking at #13 on the Spotify Australia Viral 50 Charts. The release was followed by three standout sets at Brisbane's BIGSOUND and two single launches in Sydney and Melbourne, selling out their hometown in pre-sales.... See MoreSee Less
